Our church would love to welcome you. Do not be afraid that something about you makes you unfit to join us. Jesus is a Savior to all. No sin is greater than his grace. No nationality is outside the perview of his Kingdom. No person in this world should go thinking they cannot be loved. God is love (1 John 4:8), and in Jesus he loves you. We want you to be in a place where you can boldly sing
"Jesus loves me! this I know,
for the Bible tells me so;
Little ones to him belong,
they are weak but he is strong.
Yes, Jesus loves me,
Yes, Jesus loves me,
Yes, Jesus loves me,
the Bible tells me so." (ELW #595)
If you are new to liturgical worship, our worship is interactive because we all take part in glorifying God. We speak, often in unison, because while individuals we are also a holy community and in worship we get to let go of our individualism and join together in faith words of prayer, praise, and confession. Grab a bulletin as you enter the church, it will show you the flow of service, the page numbers in the front of the hymnal to follow our liturgy, the hymn numbers for the songs we sing, and it will include the Bible readings and other special prayers for the day. If you need help, don't be afraid to ask someone near you.
We welcome all baptized believers to the Sacrament of Holy Communion each Sunday. You do not have to be a member or a Lutheran. We do believe that Jesus truly shares his body and blood with us according to his Word (Matthew 26:26-28; Mark 14:22-24; Luke 22:19-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26), but per Paul's admonition we leave it to you to examine yourself as to whether you believe these words and would desire to share the Supper and eat with us (1 Corinthians 11:27-29).
